Project Baa Baa
Project Baa Baa is celebrating the cultural, economic and environmental contribution of sheep farming and associated traditions in Ireland and Europe with exhibitions and events in May 2020 presenting Sheep Farming; Agritourism, Research - Food; Meat, Milk, Cheese - Wool; Craft, Eco Innovation. Project Baa Baa is a unique co-presentation, for the public, that will bring our agricultural heritage into focus by inviting other communities who have a similar relationship with sheep to come to Galway and take part in an EU Congress in May 2020. The public themed exhibitions & events focus primarily on Wool & Craft, Meat & Cheese and Farming related Agritourism and Research. First, second and third level students are involved in some of these. There is even a Primary Schools Sheep Project exhibition. The events will culminate with the EU Congress with Conference, Living with Sheep Demonstrations & Tastings, a Street Fair and Parade, featuring Irish and European produce, over the four-day period of 28– 31 May 2020.
